CO2 bell diffuser

From an operational point of view, anything that traps the CO2 in contact with the water would do. Plastic cup might not be the most attractive choice in a display tank mind. ;)

I will sort of hide it behind the rocks and plants, and also, how long does it take for the yeast/sugar combination to begin working?

No simple answer to that. Depends on the yeast, the sugar solution, the water you used, (mineral content), the temperature, phase of the moon, (joke). Some yeasts get up and go in a few hours, others will take a few days to get going. As you get more experience with your yeast and other factors, you'll be able to tweak your mixture and conditions to get a steady gas stream.
