I have a question. I have 2 clownfish in another one of my salt water tanks. The levels on everything are damn near perfect and I feed them on on normal schedule. Is it normal for groups of bubbles to be forming at the top of my tank? Also the larger of my percula clowns is what I think is darker on the top half of his body...... is that normal? they both eat and are lively and what seem to be a perfect pair. No stress in the tank.

Are the bubbles and the color change healthy?

Colour change varies with species. I know a few alter colours during certain life stages and depending on age.

As for the bubbles, look from below water level upwards, and see if there is a layer of muck on the surface, when that appears it can often trap bubbles. Increase surface agittation and see if that helps.

There was a layer of muck traping the bubbles. However I didnt do anything and it was all gone in the morning. My friend thought it might be stress free enzyme from the bag when I bought the fish. Dunno either way its gone.

thanks for your comment.
