Hi all, new to the board. I set up my tank a little over 2 months ago, after a month I added 2 False Percula clownfish, they got along well together. One of them died the other day (thanks to some little kids playing in the fish tank). I just picked up another clown to replace the one that died. Now the original clown is being very, very aggressive toward to the new clown, chasing him, nipping at him and scared him into hidding. What should I do about this and will the new clownfish be ok?

Possibly not. You see, when you put two clowns together early on from the start, one becomes dominant and female, the other male. Removing one changes that dynamic and now you have two fish, same species, now fighting for the same territory. If this doesn't work, you should return it. You may have luck if you can find an extremely small clown. SH

Ok, thanks. I wish the store I bought it from would have mentioned possibly getting a smaller clown. I'm afraid the new one is now stressed and will die in a day or two. Everytime he comes out from hidding the other clown is on the attack.
