Clown Loaches

I havet been on hear for some time due to illness but im impressed to find a new look to the site!!
any way to cut a long story short i baught another clown loach the other day i had 3 befor hand but one was always left out hiding on his own etc so got a new chappie to be his or her mate, well it did the trick very nicely and all 4 play along side eachother accept i noticed not just my clowns are enormouse compared to the new one but their colour is alot paler , is there a reason for this? there is no ragged fins white spot or signes of obvious illness.
I understand there is a section on loaches in this forum i just cant recall their scientific term to locate it.

I'm no expert on loaches but I understand that clown loaches (Chromobotia macracanthus) do lose the contrasting colours as they mature.

clown loaches tend to fade when they get spooked or intimidated by another fish, water quality could also cause this

thought ide add this link i found, since i thought my clowns where ill in some way when i noticed their clolour fade some one else may have the same problem and think the same i found the whole site itself quite interesting.
