Clown Loaches Gone Missing? Help!

yeah clown loaches like lower ph, if you get your ph to neutral 7.0 and get him a couple friends (they do get lonley there very smart and socal) he should grow up and be happy, active and colorfull :)
I think theres a few cheap producs you can get to lower ph you should look into it when you get your spong

neutral water is good for all fish.

EDIT: neutral water is best for a comunity tank that ranges in ph preferences.
6.9-7.1 ish.

if you have speices tank or an ideal tank with fish that all come from the same place then acomidate them.

neutral water is good for all fish.

That is a pretty broad flat statement, that is not true. Perhaps I missed something.

I have had clowns dig in and go missing for weeks and months if there was a problem with the tank. Perhaps one of the fish is bullying them. They also are a shy fish.

well I find that almost all fish can live nutral water rather than hard or soft *as a general rule* theres exeptions but if you have a comunity tank with fish that like ph ranges all over the place its best just to keep it neutral.'
thats just my own opinion. clown loaches dont like hard water.
clown loaches arn't shy if the conditions are right, you can get most shy fish to overcome being nocturnal or even just timmid there are a few ways to do this and its best to leave them alone till they get used to the tank, my elephant nose is out all day.

if its just a little white spot the just turn up the temerature to 84 and add one tea spoon of aqaurium salt per 10 gallons, that will probably take care of it... dont use copperbased chemicals!!! they will kill your last loach, and any fish with no scales like a pleco or a syno.

sounds familiar.. yesterday morning before I left for work - all 3 of my clown loaches had disappeared completely,. they were still missing when I went to bed. This morning however when I got up.. 2 of them had returned. However the 3rd is still missing. the only other fish I have are neons and guppies and 2 small plecs. So Highly unlikely to have been eaten.. I have renamed my tank the Bermuda Tankangle.. but apart from that the only explanation I can come up with is that there is a parrallell fishy dimension in my tank!

hmmmm.... I just got back to my tank and all 3 clown loaches are missing again .... :S
