Clown Loach

A bull pleco (rubbermouth pleco) would do very nice in there, as they stay around three inchs. :) Just make sure to have a filter that can handle the stress of a pleco (for your tank, one rated at over 80 gph should be fine.)
I have a Queen arabesque pleco in my 10 gallon, he is doing fine and has done a superb job eating all of the algae in the tank. For a Filter I have an aquaclear 20 (100gph).
Although otos are perfect for small tanks, they are not perfect in the sense that they require a school of at least three to feel safe, and having three more fish may be pushing the limits in your tank.

I would never put any type of plec in less than a 30gallon. It's not the size, it's the waste they produce and the volume of water needed to dilute that waste. A good filter will help but it will not always be enough dependent on what else is in the tank. To keep a plec in such a small tank, a kick arse filter and very frequent gravel cleans would be required and even then IMO there is not enough room physically.

Hi,

I'm in Australia, so I work in liters, not gallons, so I have no idea what a 10gallon looks like. I have a 180L / 4ft tank with 4 clown loaches.
10 gallons is 40litres :/

David, there is no plec that can go in a 10gallon (other than the oto), otos or shrimp are good options though.

:)
I never said plecs can go into a 10 gallon

Oooops, sorry. It was Kevin.

All I have to say is, what is the point of "re-emphasizing" what has already been said? If you wanted to suggest otos, then you could have come right out and done it without parroting back what I had already stated in previous posts.
Did you, by chance, also notice that you repeated what the post before yours said? Did you realize that you repeated a majority of his information? I forgot to mention this last night, and your "what's the point" comment made me remember. Since you did this first, maybe you can enlighten me as to what your point was in repeating someone elses info?

I'll tell you why I do it. I usually do it when I want to be sure someone has gotten the point. I find it is often more helpful to repeat good information than not to.

If you had looked a bit more closely, you would have noticed that the time of my post closely follows that of sirminions post, meaning that we both began typing at the same time and that his post was a bit shorter or he is a faster typist. In short, he beat me to the chase. I did not repeat any information that had already been given, as I didn't know that it was being given at the time.

If you had looked a bit more closely, you would have noticed that the time of my post closely follows that of sirminions post,
You're right, I apologize. But now are you going to tell me that you have never repeated any one else's information in other posts before? If so, more power to you. That does not, in any way, invalidate my repeating of other information.

Ok I'm very sorry for ever getting into this argument. You're right, there is nothing wrong with repeating info for the purpose of reinforcing it. I apologize, i guess I must have been having a bad day (recently had a whole school of cardinals and my biggest clown loach die on my) :-(
