Clown Loach

One of my 3 clown Loaches has decided its on its way out its just laying on its side i tried gently moving it with my net but it just floats but its breathing!

Anything i can possbly do to stop him from dying?

At the moment hes in a small tub with a little food,

Is it normal for the loach not to come out at feeding time and eat with the rest of the community?

I think hes basically not been eating

first thing you must do is take the food out. Food will rot in the water and produce ammonia which will kill the fish. Don't feed it until it is better.
Next change all or most of the water with some clean dechlorinated water that has the same temperature and PH as the water it is currently in. Increase aeration and surface turbulence and see how the fish goes.
Poor water quality is the biggest killer of fish. Have you checked the water quality in the tank, ie: ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & PH.

Its been tested and everything is fine i took a sample to my local aquatics centre just yesterday to make sure,i love my fish wouldnt want to be subjecting them to horrible water.

My clown loach does not come out at feeding time, they tend to come out more at night, and spend their day hiding behind a big castle I got in my tank...just thought I would add that to this topic but cannot help with much else as quite a novice myself.

sorry to hear this the same thing happened to 4 of my clown loaches but everything i tried failed its such a shame there such sweet little fish got there own personalitys and everything

i hope your lucks different to mine
