How are Clown Loaches with Cichlids?

Does anyone have any first hand experience?

At the moment I have 4 3"/4" clown loaches and I'm looking to buy some cichlids. I have a 180 litre tank. I dont plan on keeping the clown loaches forever as I know they will outgrow a 180 eventually.

I think the main question is what cichlids do you have in mind? Most are territorial\aggressive where your loach will be a pretty placid\timid customer. They may be OK in a larger tank where there's more room to get away from each other.

All depends on your species of cichlids.

In a 180l I'd suggest some Lionhead Cichlids or Slender Lionheads, to keep an African theme going, or some other dwarf cichlids. Given that they will share the tank floor, I personally would not risk more than one pair of cichlids though.
