Clown Loach Loss

Title says it all, one minute they are there, the next gone never to be seen again and no remains, I have a well established community tank with no sign of agression in there.

I have heard loaches can be sensitive and difficult to keep and this seems to be the case for me, but are they dying or being attacked ? Am now down to one and reluctant to purchase anymore.

Any advice or insight ?

You got a lid on the tank, and if not have you checked down the back?

What size tank and what else is in the tank with it?

Yes to the lid, there are tiger barbs, mollies, rainbow fish, the tiger barbs completely seem to leave the loaches alone, despite their reputation !

Dont know if it helps but 2 of mine constantly kept finding there way past the power head and into the filter box in my old Juwel tank.
