sunken bellies for the rams and the loaches are looking pretty skinny... any ideas also chocolate gourami in another tank as stringy waste

no other ailments.

ammonia and nitrite barely visable due to degrading plants nitrates pretty low

any ideas on treatments i should start?

Post your water readings: pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, hardness, temperature in numbers (ppm,°)

Tank dimensions? Set-up? Age of set-up? Feeding? Maintenance?

Those fish are not compatible.

If you have ammonia and nitrite, then it is because your tank is not cycled.

Keep up water changes and respond to the questions above.

p.s. also full stock list, including numbers and sizes.

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Can you post full water stats please.

What type of loaches are they.

Are the fish showing any of these symtoms.

Red inflamed anus, enlarged anus.
Sunken in belly.
Bent spine.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Fish sometimes swim on there sides.
Spitting food out, not eating.

Has the gourami ever been kept in the other tank.

tanks been cycling for 9 months now

fluval u3 + 90l interpet filter in the 90 litre tank
600lph powerhead in 120ltank

89l tank has 6 clown loaches 2 electric rams a juve fire eel albino sucking loach and a pearl corydora
rams are relativly new and have the sunken bellies they also eat the food im giving them then any excess they will spit out and suck in ...about 3 weeks in the tank so far clowns have been in there about 5 months they had a tendancy to sleep on their side thought

second is a 120l tank with 2 golden rams 5 chocolate gouramis juvenile fire eel and 2 algae eaters (not sure on breed) only two gouramis showing the stringy poo

nitrites in both are about 0.05 ppm
ammonia about 0.01
nitrates about 0.3

both tanks are fed on a diet of tetra crisps and frozen blood worms which they seem to love

The 90 litre tank is severely overstocked.
Your water stats are telling you that.
At tank should cycle in 2 to 3 months.

How often are you preforming water changes and gravel vacs.

What's your location.

Taken from the link I left above.

Once the fish are better I would rehome the clown loaches.

Loss of weight or "skinny disease" is also quite common in Clown loaches. Typical symptoms are loss of weight and behaviour known as "knifeback" even though the fish is acting and eating normally. This sickness is more difficult to treat, it comes from a parasite organism (spironucleus) in the intestines of the same type that is thought to cause the so called "discus disease". I have successfully removed this disease from newly imported fish by using Spirohexol from JBL in the form of tablets. I have taken one tablet and crushed it and dissolve it in as little water as possible. I have then used discus granules which have been soaked in the solution. It becomes like a thick porridge after a short time when the food has drawn in the liquid. I then feed this to the sick fishes, after a week it looks like the sickness is gone. For the best possible effect do not feed with any other food. Flagyl (Metronidazole) also helps fight against this sickness but at least here in Sweden it is on prescription and can be a little difficult to come by.

i was under the influence if your filtrration was adequate you could overstock to a certain degree its a u4 not a u3 typo sorry

and im in the london area

gravel vacs and water changes are performed a minimum oof once a week with ro water and decholinated tap water being used to replace the water taken out

How often are you feeding your fish?
Just need to rule out not feeding enough.

For the gourami feed some shelled peas to see if the long stringy white poo clears up.

More frozen foods in daphnia and brime shrimp, green veg.
Green veg like peas, broc, spinach, cabbage, sproats.

For now I would over filter both tanks till you can sort your stocking out.
Keep preforming water changes and increase aeration.

With being overstocked I would do two gravel vacs a week.

I would also get the jbl med suggested in the info left on clown loaches.

fish are fed once every 2-3 days one cube of frozen blood worm and a pinch of tetra crisp

would you say the 120l is overstocked too?

Yes, you can overstock a little by adding some small fish, not adding Sucking loaches which grow to 11 inches or 6 Clown Loaches which can grow to 16 inches. Basically, you have potentially over 100inches of fish in a 89 litre aquarium. BUt the best thing you can do is rehome them ;)

does any of the green veg need to be cooked?

fire eels grow way too big as may your algae eaters. Also Chocolate Gouramis are very suspectable to infections and stuff. I've lost 2 Chocs this week  How long have you had the chocolates?

you can over-filtrate to increase stocking in tanks, but your clown-loaches are simply not suitable for a 90l tank. These fish grow to about 30cm in length and need a much larger tank.

as WILDER says, a cycle should not take more than 2-3 months. Still cycling after 9 and showing ammonia and nitrite readings shows your filter is not coping with the waste.

I would feed daily. You are not feeding enough.
If the fish don't put weight on I would worm them.

The second tank 120 litres not to bad, But your water stats are telling me it is overstocked.
I don't know if the eel should be in that size tank, as I know nothing about them.

With your water stats being bad you don't really want to be feeding to much.
But it sounds like you are not feeding enough.

Cook veg a few minutes in boiling water. Let cool down and chop into small pieces.
For peas pop of of shell. As fish can't digest the shell part.

Research fish before you buy, for tank size, adult size, compatibility.
