howdy. fellas i'm thinking of having some tankmates for my lonely clown fish, there was a shrimp in the tank....... but one day the shrimp had dissapeared. there is no clue for it's absece. However i'm having some fishes in my mind that I would like someone to tell me wich is best:
(1)pyjama cardinalfish in a (small group)
(2)long-snouted coralfish
(3)Domino
(4)Firefish
(5)blue banded sergeantmajor

the tank is 50 gallon. there was an anomone in the tank but there are three now. I have no Idea how those anomones came into the tank, but maybe they grew from the coral or something. any other suggestions on fishes will be nice....

Yellow Watchman Goby with a Pistol Shrimp
Blue Devil Damsel
Flame Angel
Coral Beauty
Chromis
Bangaii Cardinal
Another Clownfish maybe?
Royal Gramma
Bi-Colour Angel

Above are some suitable tankmates :good:

Do you mean a long nosed hawk fish? If so, a lovely looking fish who will take inverts for it's lunch!

the first thing on my list would be a mate for the clown, there is something very sad about one clown in a tank - buy a small juvie and watch their antics

if you want the cardinals, then buy a group
Firefish is fine
no to the domino
no to the sargent major - it's another damsel and gets aggressive when older

No, No not a hawk fish!! can anyone please tell what on earth had made that shrimp dissapear? it's a cleaner shrimp. and how did that anemone got more friends, there was only one anemone and know they are three!! could that maybe just maybe mean that anemone breeded?

you are going to have to give us a picture of the anemone or tell us what sort it is - many anemones split and create clones

There are several reasons why your cleaner shrimp may have died:

he was old
water stats were not good
something eat him

I'm not sure what anemone it is!! but it's color is white with pink tips. the cleaner shrimp couldn't possibly die!! he is not too old I've only been having it for couple of months!! I would not say the water states were bad, coz if they were bad the anemone is what is going to suffer first, so that lead's us to something eat, what could possibly do that? could the anemone did it. I saw an anemone in a LFS having a dead fish between it's tentacles.

Well, it could I suppose but it's unlikely.

What else do you have in the tank?

As for the anemone, google malu and let us know

ps what are your stats?
