First question: Is there such thing as a Black True Percula Clownfish? I know there are Onyx True Percula Clowns but I mean is there one like the Darwin Black Ocellaris but in the Percula Family?

Second Question: If there is no such thing as a Black True Percula Clownfish, a LFS near me claims they have one....Would it be wise to call them out on it to see if I can get a slightly better deal? I think it is a normal Black/Darwin Ocellaris. I have it on hold and told them I would return in a few days because I had other stuff to do but really it was so I could ask everyone on here their opinion and gain some knowledge!

Third Question: Does anyone have any experience with Fudge Glazed Ocellaris Clownfish? Here is a link if you have never seen one....http://cgi.ebay.com/Fudge-Glazed-Ocellaris-Clownfish-Pair-Percula-Reef-Tank-/150522114367?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230bd1313f#ht_500wt_1156

Thanks for the help!

There is no such thing as a black True percula 100% sure.
They are often mislabed or perhaps, miscalled "Black Percula clowns", but they are indeed Ocellaris. As for asking for a lower price... I guess it depends on what the price is. Black ocellaris are quite expensive, they're usually twice as much as the regular ocellaris.

s for the "Fudge Glazed Ocellaris Clownfish", I have never heard of them before and I have a feeling this seller just made that name up in all honesty haha.
Regardless, there should be no difference between them and normal ocellaris clowns, they are just a color variation.
You do have to be careful when getting these "Specialty" clowns, especially when it concerns the black coloring. Black coloring on most clownfish takes quite a while to fully develop and so their coloring could differ.

Well the fudge glaze I know is the breeders special name for them. They we breed with a Black Darwin Ocellaris as the daddy and a normal Ocellaris as the mommy.

This LFS I do not usually care for as they more about the money to me than the hobby. They want $59.99+tax for her, I assume it is a her, but I was kinda hoping they raised the price because they are claiming it is a True Percula. She is bigger than most Black Ocellaris I have seen in stores other than the one in Absolutely Fish's display tank (Located in New Jersey) so maybe that contributing to the price.

At my work (in New York) we sell Captive bred Black ocellaris for $45- $50 each... They are generally about 1.5" long. So, that's your call :)

I do not know if it is captive breed or not but she is 2" maybe 2.25". She is big, beautiful, and healthy. I think I will inquire about why they claim it is a Black True Percula but I will likely buy it. Thank you for the help Nemo!
