Hi all,
5 days ago, my male clown fish disappeared from my tank . After hours of looking for him - inside and outside of the tank, I could not find him and there were no remains left in the tank.
Since then, the female who is left is looking much thinner (but still eating) and slightly off color. Can anyone suggest what could be wrong? She is spending a lot of time at the bottom of the tank and looking a lot less active.
Thanks for your help! I don't want to lose 2 clowns in a week.

Hi and :hi: to TFF

Have you tested your water, what are your stats, tank size, stocking etc?

Hi! Thanks for the welcome.
I have a 240L tank (63 Gallon) with 2 fish
Tested the water and everything was ok. The nitrates were a little high - around 20 ppm. Is this acceptable?

The clown's face is off color and looking rather thin. Should I be feeding it more? At the moment I have a 10 gallon water change ready to go.

Do the water change asap, that should bring the nitrates down, they are higher than you would like but not so high that it would make your fish ill :good: Nobody could say you were overstocked so again not a problem :good: What do you feed your clowns, how often and how much?

In addition how long have you had them for?

(oh yeah and welcome to the forums :) )
