Ya this movie came out like 3 years ago, I saw it in theaters. But, i watched it again, And i didn't see this before, but seriously, WHAT HAPPENED? did the monster die? And if you want to, go watch it again and really observe the movie... like watch all the credits, AND at the end, the camera goes back to before the monster came, and in the background, you see something fall in the water... Freaky!!! Really pay attention to the end tho.

Yeah, you can see the monster in the background after the credits.

I think the monster never died, there really was no conclusion to whether or not the monster died.

It was a good movie though! Not as good as Avatar, though! :)lol: I had to say that!), Sorry.

Yeah, 1st person camera shooting is a bit of a bumpy ride! lol

Ya avatar owned. In the theater, after we left I almost threw up. But I think it was very clever for the camera angle. Plus, they didn't have to buy a bunch of big cameras :)

I thought it was #105###. If you'll pardon my french! I got to the end and thought "right...? where's the rest of the film?!" it felt like it ended about a third of the way through the story! I was quite disappointed!

However, they are apparently making another one, so I am keeping an open mind and as long as the second one picks up the story exactly where the first one left off then I'll be happy and quite willing to revise my comments becuase it definitely had potential. If it turns out to be exactly the same but in a different city or something, and you still feel like the story was only just getting started when the film ended then I'll stick with "utterly pointless and I'm glad I didn't pay to see it at the flicks!"

my view, of the film, too. I went from, being disappointed, to plain board. to me, a film more to do with how it was shot, than any proper story. still if they make another. at least it will give some people work. don't think it will achieve much more, though.

not at all, the "proper story" was a bunch of normal people having a party heard a massive explosion, and ran out into the street and saw the statue of Liberty's head rolling down the street.
The point of the story is to see it from a normal person point of view.
Like, what would you do?
I would do what they did, run, hide, and being who i am, try and find out what was going on.
Its the fact that you cant see everything from loads of different angles and points of view that makes it interesting.
You just never know what is going to happen next.
Granted, the ending may have been an anti-climax to some, but what did you expect to happen, the American army save the day?
That would be fun!!!

Yaa I herd that quarintene is a first person veiw to. But if there will be a sequal, I'm gunna get opening night tickets. Blair witch project? I've herd ppl call cloverfeild a mix of blair witch and Godzilla. Maybe cloverfeild will spawn a generation of new monster movies lol.

Ohh tHey are making another cloverfeild. They said so last month :)

Quarantine is amazing like, Rec, the original is good also.
two movies that care the hell out of me

clover field is a great movie,I liked the ending it was a bit daunting, like you really want to know what happened.

Were you uncaring before the movie, Mr. Catfish??
hehe.
Exactly.
I think its the fact that you dont know what happened.
Same sort of scenario with Quarantine/Rec, its great how you only get a glimpse of the "thing" living in the loft.
It allows you to make up your own image.
I mean, how crap would it be if on The Blair Witch Project, it kept switching to a cackling old woman with warts on her nose, and a pointy green hat???

I really didnt like it, bought it a couple of weeks back because it was cheap on play.com i see why now!!

gave me some good dreams though
