here's the deal.

i did my regular water change yesterday (50%). after everything fine and working correctly.

this morning, on lights on i hade a haze to my water.

now my drop checker with 4dkh water reads yellow which i know is high. double checked with ph and kh which are ph 6.0... kh 5 (this gives 150ppm) i know, i know  for some reason needle valve somehow opened up.

what im wondering is, could such high concentrations of co2 contribute to a haze in the water?

btw, fish were not gasping...strange.

i've also ammended the problems.

thanks

mark

Wouldn't think its CO2 related. Did you disturb the substrate during the water change? That can cause a bacterial bloom which would haze the water.

im reckoning that when i clead my filter, or should i say change the floss. i've somehow triggered a bacterial bloom. i've still got but it is going. just cut back on lighting and ferts.
