Cloudy Tank

ok, about a month ago, my tank started clouding, horribly. i use softened water, and i have lts of plants. it started right at the time i sstarted using seachem flouurish. i do water changes every other day.whats wrong here?

Don't mean to hijack this but i am having this as well.. Mine is white cloudyness.

not a problem, we could do to at once! when i do a water change, i use straight white buckets, in which then i can see the water is verrrry green.

if it was an algae bloom, which im pretty sure it is, how would i treat it?

I'm no expert but AFAIK with algae blooms you can either:

Reduce the amount of light

Use a chemical that clumps the algae together and your filter will deal with it

Buy a UV steriliser which does much the same as the chemical

will it kill my plants to do a black out for a 1/2 to 1 day black out ? if it is a bacteria bloom, how woould i treat it then?
