One of my bettas has had cloudy eyes for over 2 weeks now.
I first treated her with some maracyn 1 & 2. That did nothing.
Today is the last day of a triple sulfa treatment, and it's done nothing as well.
In fact one of her eyes has gotten alot worse.
It's not popeye, but the white part looks raised off of her eye.
She acts totally normal. Eats and begs for food with gusto, swims around, flares at the other betta through the divider, etc etc...

Here are some pics.. forgive the extreme streakiness

In this one you can see better how the white part is raised

Should I just keep trying the meds I have? Could I try combining maracyn 1,2 and triple sulfa or would that be too much medication in the water?

Does it ram the divider? If so, it could be injured by that. That could take time to heal. Also wounds get bacterial infections very easy. Clean water is a must! It needs to be in a separate tank so that it does not spread to the other one if it is an infection. I would up the water changes for now, and maybe some one that knows more will come along soon.
I have never had good luck with using different meds one right after another. I have found that for me it works better if I put a few days and a few water changes between the different meds. There again, I am still learning though.
Sorry I haven't been much help. I hope someone that knows more will come along soon.

No she doesn't ram the divider. The 2 bettas just sorta wiggle at eachother through it.
I don't think it's an injury b/c the other eye is also cloudy. Not as bad as the other, but still cloudy.
Our q/h tank is occupied atm, so that's why I'm having to medicate their 10gal right now.

Causes of cloudy eye as it not a desease in its self symtom of one.
Poor water quality, irratation, poor diet, old age, parasites, to bacterial fish tb.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.

Nope...no unusual behaviour from her. She acts totally normal.
I'll do some water changes after medicating is over with to see if that will help

Also double check your lfs as they carry API products usually. Most API products specify the most important thing they treat first. As I have Furan-2 and used it for my Pleco for treating cloudy eye, and it worked well.

Good Luck! :good:

Good luck from me too.

my betta has this awhile ago. i used melafix and it cleared up really fast. I believe API makes it. it uses natural products too so it's safe for sensitive fish.

good luck!
