Hi all
I'm setting up my first ever tank as a tropical tank and I've decided to go for sand (Cos I'm classy like that!) so today I've got my sand and washed it then put it in the tank and filled the tank with water ... now quite obviously its more than a bit cloudy as a result of this and I was wondering if its a good or bad idea to use my filter at this stage or should I be just leaving it to settle?
The sand for the most part has settled I guess it's just all the fine stuff that comes with it thats still a bit unsettled!
How long did it take for this to settle for other people?
Once I've got it all clear and set up I'll be posting a good few pics then more as I stock it with fish!
Cheers
Robert
