So I got some Night gobies today for my brackish tank and most of the afternoon has been spent aclimatising them to brackish conditions.

when i finally go to release them along with 3 large river shrimp and a couple of orange chromides 1 of the 3 gobies is missing.

I get the others in the tank first and lo and behold he's on the floor next to the tank.

thinking un typable I pick him up and hold him in the water, after a few seconds nothing....then another few and he blows out a stream of bubbles, he was a bit ropey so i does the tank with stress coat and melafix just incase.

right now he's swimming aorund with the others.

lets hope he makes it til morning which is the deciding factor i reakon.

I lost an Oscar and a Green Terror to this same jumping syndrome... (I broke the top to my 125 Gal a while ago (set the snakes lamp on it and it got too hot and CRACK!)

I've actually been really wanting an eel of some sort (prolly peacock eel) but my lack of proper lids is currently suppressing that purchase.

this just happened to me. I bought 3 pinapple swords, and one day i had 2 well i looked forever and then there he was dried up behind the tank. what a pitty.

That happene to a molly but i never did find her... she been missing for 4 days now  i've looked everywhere behind tank, under the cupboard, even took filter apart thinking she have got sucked in.. No doubt she properly died that night and the corydoras had her for tea!!! Wish i could find her, so wanted to breed from her.

Hate it when you don't find the bodies as you are always left wondering where she could be and if she suffered an agonising death????

I'm really upset now :-(

That's how we lost Ty (see sig). I came home to find him on the floor. He had jumped out the 1.5" hole in th back where the heater and cord go through.

you think thats bad, my friend kept an octopus, and it got out at night, and one night hge woke up with an octopus in his bed!!!

BTW this is my 200th CHIT CHAT post...No GT doesnt mean bad after all!
