Having a bit of trouble in the sump area the return line from the sump hase some clear hose in it to stop vibrations and I'm getting alot of algae grown on the inside I've now run out od electicions tape and reached the water level! Can I use the tape in the water or should i go for some non-clear pipe?

And

Where could I get the pipe from the LFS only has clear and see through green

dont put electrical tape in there, the adhesives probably wouldnt be too kind to fish :p

as for tubing, dunno what its like in the UK, but if I were here in the US I'd go to a home depot or plumbing supply store

here in the U.S. alot of the tubing for outdoor ponds are dark in color and not clear. they are this color for the exact reason that you are having problems with.. algae growth within.

If you search around you should be able to get hold of dark see through tubing, have a look at my tank thread and there's a picture of the tubing on there (I use it in my sump as it's lit 24/7). It's pretty common so you should find it in an LFS somewhere.
