I have had my 10 gal FOWLR and about 6-8 feather dusters which came on the live rock. I have a blue damsel and a clown which are well. I would love to add a bit of a cleanup crew but I don't want to cramp everyone but the tank is horrible! (Not as clean as a freshwater but then I knew that going into this). What would be the best thing to add?

I did have a scooter blenny but he eventually died though from what I don't know. Any help greatly appreciated. TIA

The damsel and clown together in a 10g tank might be pushing it. Damsels are notoriously territorial and he may have killed your blenny

As far as a clean up crew, they don't really dirty up the water as much as they clean everything else. Depending on if you have a sand bed that needs a little ruffling through, i would probably put 5 or 10 nassarius vibex snails, a cerith snail or 2, maybe a trochus snail and a couple of hermits (I prefer the scarlet reef hermits, supposedly they won't eat the snails)

Your scooter blenny almost certainly died due to starvation (unless you saw it feeding on artificialfood) These fish need almost identical feeding requirements toa mandarin and these fish require analmost constant supply of live pods.

As for cleaning crew, this are vital for your tank and especially so in a nano. 10 gallons will require about 5 or 6 hermits (redleg) and about 3 astrea or turbo snails with perhaps a couple of cerith snails.

I was seeing the blenny eating so I'm not 100% sure. The damsel and clown have been fine over the past 5 months. The damsel did however take over the piece of lr and hides in it. The water itself is not dirty as much as the LR and sand.
