What is the best way to clean items in a tank, i have a large ship wreak model and want to know best ways of cleaning it as getting dirty.
Should i take it out or leave in ect.

Thanks in advance

p.s Also i have been told differnt things, but, how long should the light be on a day in a standard tropical tank

Well to clean ornaments and plants. I use a regular toothbrush like one you can buy at a drugstore or seomthing then use that for fish only (obviously) to clean their ornaments. It works best for getting into the little spaces and certain leaves that plants are made like.

I would take the ornaments out to clean them that way it doesn't make your tank a mess.

I just take the ornaments out and in warm water and salt added scrub with a toothbrush.
Rinse well under coldwater and leave to dry out for a day.
