Hi all just quickie,

I've manually scraped as much excess silicone off the inside of a tank and find myself left with a horrid greasy residue all over the panes. What works best to remove this stuff???
I've tried windowlene, wheel cleaner, oxyclean stuff with scouring pads and kitchen towelling, nothing seems to finish the job.

I'm going mad here!
:shout: :good:

Cheers,

Methelated spirits or a proper commercial silicone remover would be the best two bets. I couldn't tell you where to find the silicone remover though... :shifty:

I got some silicone remover from b and q called HG Hagesan silicon seal remover, careful though, it does say dangerous for the environment ( you know the hazard symbol with a dead tree and a dead fish on)
