Cleaning Rocks And Slate

Just a quick bit of advice really. I have a piece of rock and slate which are in the garden howver i think they would make really nice decoration in the tank, however i want to know what is the best way to clean it so that it is safe for my tank. Can i just boil it then it will be fine or do i need to do something more

all i do with mine is soak them in water mixed with sterilising fluid for a few days. Then wash it off thoroughly and they are fine
