I know this is probably a stupid question, but what is a good way to clean the white crusty stuff that gets on the outside edges of your tank?  It is splattered up on the light fixture, and on the back edges of the tank.  I am assuming it is from water splatter of the filter and air stones.  I know that I don't want to use any chemicals, but it doesn't seem to come off well with just water and scrubbing.  I was wondering about using some vinegar to take it off, but I just don't know if that could be harmful to the fish.  I don't plan on getting it in the water, but know that it could happen.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Just damp a cloth in distilled white vinegar, apply loads of elbow grease if required and repeat if need be!

Also if it's really stuck on you may need to use a razor blade to scrape it off.

Yeah I recommend a razor blade. It's a lot easier than using vinegar or anything in MY opinon

I never thought about scraping it off with a razor blade.  I will give that a try, and then use the vinegar cloth to finish it.  Thanks for the help.

Anytime.
