Cleaning Gravel

Hi
i have had my first tank set up for about 6 months now and when changing the water i use a gravel vac. Is there a better method to give the gravel a complete clean as i am noticing a lot of dirt building up.

Gravel vac is the best way m8, i do mine every 4 weeks, give it a good clean and try to get right in to the gravel be gentle pushing it in to it
