Clean Up Crew

What would a good clean up crew consist of? I already have a yellow shrimp gobie shrimp gobie and 7 red legged hermits

Usually heaps of hermitz (blue/red legged), snails (turbo/nassarius), shrimps, brittlestars and the like. This website has heaps of cleaner crews you might wanna look into.

Theres loads lol when do hermits come out coz whenever i look at mine they seem to be jus loungin about on the rocks.

They're pretty slow movers and just crawl n' eat most of the time. I have one in my tank and he just waddles slowly and goes about his job. Sometimes I might not see him for hours because he might be behind a rock or something. All they do is louge about on the rocks I guess.

Glass cleaners - Turbo, Astrae
Rock Cleaners - Astrae, Cerith
Substrate Cleaners - Cerith, Nassarius
Algae - Hermits

Just try and get the right balance in your tank so everything stays just about right

Thanks alot. Im also planning to get some more fish for my tank will it be ok to add new fish to it while im treating the tang?? Also is white spot the same as ich??

Yup, all those are different types of snails. I have a Nassarius in my tank and it scavenges on everything, even other dead snails.

The nassarius cover the substrate cleaning. (As sf05 has already stated)

But it's better to get a few of each to cover everything.

www.coralfarm.co.uk was reccomended to me by Chac and i was really impressed with what i recieved and the customer services.

I also used www.tropicalreefs.co.uk and although they were cheaper i can't say i was happy with their customer service

You'll probably find that your LFS only stocks hermits and turbo snails, so you'll have to head online if you want a more effective cleanup crew for a little more.

I'm sure everyone from the UK can chip in and reccomend some online retailers they've used
