Alright, so I drained my 105 gallon tank to move it, and it has been sitting for a few weeks empty, BUT, I left the gravel in and basically let any remained water left to evaporate. While now its time to move it but the gravel smells kinda funky and underneath the top layer it is still a little wet. Should I take out the gravel and re-wash it? Or should I just move and fill it up and not worrry about it?

bump I need an answer quick, I've got to move it tonight while I've got people to help! :)

Thanks

Is the smell a big issue? It's probably just from any leftover mulm that was in the gravel. It's not really a big issue, I don't think, especially since you won't be able to smell it once you fill up the tank again.

If you're really worried and did a relatively thorough gravel cleaning, you might want to boil the garvel. *shrugs*

id take out the gravel and wash it to get it fresh

Well I just don't want it to be any nasty bacteria or something, because I left like an inch of water above the gravel when I drained it cause it was getting to hard to siphon. I remeber after a week or so it got a like layer or film on it, but it has since evaporated down to the gravel. Could it be harmful?
