Morning all,

I've got a 20 Gallon tank which is planted and has a few rocks and some bogwood in, there's also a pot which would be an ideal cave for a cichlid, plus there's lots of hiding spots.

I currently only have 3 Platys and 6 neon Tetras in the tank, what i want to know is, are there any Cichlids out there that would be ok in my tank??? i've read that maybe dwarfs or firemouths are an option, but i'm not quite sure?? if so would i need to change anything???

Any info greatly appreciated

Nath

You could have dwarf cichlids, a pair (no more) of german blue or bolivian rams, or a trio of apistogrammas :good:

No to the firemouths, they require 30g tank minimum and are very aggressive fish.

You wont need to change anything, ensure they have a cave, some rocks and a few plants.

Read up thoroughly before getting them though, as rams in particular are very sensitive fish and do require good water conditions and mature tanks to thrive.

You could have a pair of any of the following:

Agassiz's Cichlid-Apistogramma agassizi
Cockatoo Cichlid-Apistogramma cacatoides
Viejita's Cichlid-Apistogramma viejita
Panda Dwarf Cichlid-Apistogramma nijsseni
Borelli's Dwarf Cichlid-Apistogramma borellii
Blue German Ram-Microgeophagus ramirezi
Bolivian Ram-Microgeophagus altispinosus
Keyhole Cichlid-Cleithracara maronii
