i dont konw much bout cichlids but really starting to like them but does anybody know if ther r any nice enough ones that could go in my tank?

You alread have 2 cichlids in there. :) You have 2 Angels. But if you are looking for something african then Kribs may be something you would be interested in. You would have to stick to Dwarf Cichlids as they are the least aggressive. None of the Rift Lake cichlids will work.

Kribs are a possibility but i would expect world war 3 to start when they meet your RTBS, not a good combination i'm afraid. :/

You might be better looking at a pair of Rams.

ok well i dont know much bout cichllids since the angels r my grandpas but would it be a problem if they r a matted pair because they r and they lay eggs once a week or so on my filter tube but eat them wenever they fall off would this cause a problem the any new cichlids b/c it doesnt to my fish in ther right now

ok well i thought bout it last night and this is wat id like my tank to look like

2 angels
2 corys
1 bristlnose pleco
1 dwarf cichlid of some sort or a pair or watever will work
1 betta
5-10 neon or cardinal tetras

i know some ppl say u cant put tetras with angels but i know ppl u hav but as i said i dont know much bout cichlids and do u guys know if this would be feasible and if not wat would i hav to get rid of to make it feasable and angels are central american from the amazon river right

thnks

I would forget the betta, they are much happier kept by themselves, they generally don't do well in community tanks and certainly not with Angels. :/

ok well do u know of any dwarf cichlids that will do well wit the fish i mentioned minus the betta

A pair of Rams or Apisto's should do fine and there's plenty of variety to choose from with those 2 species

Right, Firstly, DO NOT put either Neons or Cardinals in with your angels. the reason 'some people' say you can't do it is because you can't. They might be ok for a week, or a month but basically they're swimming fish food. The angels will have them, it's only a question of when.
My angels, which I have had since they were tiny (1 cm across) grew up in a tank with a shoal of neons and they were fine for months. Then all the neons disappeared overnight. Don't do it.
Secondly, you need a 2 or 3 more Corys, they're social fish and are only happy in groups. 5 would be ideal.
Don't put a Betta in there either.

If you still have room, I think these cichlids would be ideal for your tank

Also known as the African Butterfly Cichlid, peaceful, colorful and interesting. I have 4 in my 45GAL with both angels, corys, a clown plec and others with no problems.
They seem to be happy to live in groups but I haven't had them long enough to be sure of that.

ya would love to add some more cories but these cories are my gradpas and are almost 10 years old i think and i cant find any of the type that he had and they seem to get along quiet well by themselves when they die i wil get 6 or so but until then i am afraid if i get some more they wont play with each other and it will be a waste of money which im short on right now
