I'm in the process of setting up my new Juwel 180 and would love a pair of Cichlids.

I'm quite set on getting a pair of Cockatoo Cichlids but would I need two females to one male?

I would also like at least 1 Angelfish but believe you shouldn't mix Cichlids? Is this true?

I would hope to have Pentazona Barbs, Harlequin Rasboras, Corys and Chain Loaches as their tankmates?

Thanks

i personally can't see a problem with this stocking plan. you might as well repost in the tropical discussion seccion as cockatoos and angels are south american .

also, dont add the cichlids- angels or cockatoos when the tank is first set up. cichlids like a wel cycled, mature tank and they would struggle to survive in a brand new one
