i currently have 4 tin foils that are great but their eating is just crazy. also when they are fully grown i'm not sure i can keep them in my tank. so i was wondering if i could sell them what would be a good cichlid to maybe have 4 not aggressive and maybe grows around 20cm? the more colorful the better. at the moment i have a lone blue acara in there but he's only around 6-7 cm

Discus, Serverums, Oscars, Green Terrors ( can be very aggressive, but I have had some in the past that are not too bad ), Angels.

id deff hav a group of blue acara's in there, or oscars, they are ace, great personalitys on them

kinda looking for peaceful cichlids rather than oscars green terors... but thanks for the responses

Lol @ oscars

When it comes to larger cichlids, aggression kind of comes with the territory.
You can try EBJD, as they tend to be less aggressive then their non-electric cousins. And maybe look into some geophagus. Besides that, your stuck with thi gs like firemouths.

oscars arn't overly aggressive, just a sheep in wolves clothing. no more than other cichlids anyway. if you want peacefull cichlid, go with blue acaras

Hahahahaha.
Oscars are not aggressive. Just hungry.
But good call staying away from them.

Like bitteraspects said, Oscars are more so hungry then aggressive. I find Oscars will simply eat anything that will fit in their mouths, so because they get a good size, that just includes more fish that are food lol. But Guppies will even eat what ever can fit in their mouths too lol.

hmmm cichlids for a 100g eh? well theres sevs of course then sevs oh and did i mention sevs? lol ( slightly biased  )

i wouldnt go with jack dempsey personally . lovely fish but would limit your stocking options a lot more than things like severums blue acara t-bar cichlid firemouths . there really is quite a lot you can do with 100g

hey thanks for all your replies i do love cichlids and since getting rid of my old oscar ( i miss him) my tank hasn't been the same cichlids are just awesome fish. anyway i really like the look of elliotti cichlid but i'm having trouble finding information on them if anyone could either send me a link or tell me that would be great also are these rare and expensive?

if ya wanted a nice big peacful cichlid why not a chocolate cichlid big daft things that arent aggressive then go for some smaller cichlids like firemouths and maybe a trio of geophagus for the bottom ....
