Cichlids being swapped

im moving my 6 cichlids from my 75g to a 27g. the 27g has community fish in it which im moving to the 75g ( this is gonna be a v large community tank ) - i have barbs + neons which i wanna put into the 75g which currently has high PH due to it having tufa rock.

So, how would i do this swap? i need to use the water and filter media from both tanks as they are cycled. but the 75g has high PH im pretty stuck on this 1.

I think it depends how big the cichlids are? If they are big then they can't go in a 27g tank anyway. If they are dwarfs then how about moving the tuffa rock into the 27g first, wait for PH to go up then move the fish?
