Cichlid Tank With Corals

translation, Mark is right, the fish all need different water conditions.

LMAO!!!

But yeah, im no expert but i dont think the plec, clown loach, parrot fish, maybe other things should be with the cichlids, different params :/
And sorry to be yet another person to burst your bubble but i prefer the ol' green planted natural look personally.....But whatever floats your boat is fine with me ;)

The plec should be ok and the clown loaches.

Thanks for the complements, and the criticisms. I know that purists, prefer the green tanks, but I loved the way the corals looked and preferred the ease of a freshwater tank. It's a just a matter of taste I guess.

All the fish that are in there actually work pretty well together. They're been tank mates for quite a few months now and getting along swimmingly(sorry). :)

Why do all people witht he wrong type of stocking in there tanks all say the same thing the fish get on fine well thats great but ill poing some things out to you.
1. You have a mbuna cichlid in there needs a ph of around 8 to thrive its a herbivore so eats vegetable matter not normal flake and bloodworm it cant digest it plus they are one of the most aggressive species and need to be in a species tank.
2.Your golden nugget pleco needs a ph of around 7 but not to much of a problem
3.your parrot fish is a cichlid but not african like your mbuna and trust me one day all hell will break loose and i will guarantee you will say good bye to polly the mbuna will destroy it also it needs completely different water params.
4.your other algea eaters will soon get taken out bye the mbuna

So yeah you may think you have a happy tank but the fact of the matter is you dont and its harsh on the fish to live in unsuitable conditions.

Id jsut like to say short term sucess with cichlids is no sucess at all you have to have long term sucsess to say the setup is working.
