Cichlid Noob Needs Help Please

I have never known anything about cichlids at all but I like Rams, Jack Depsey, Keyhole, some yellow ones, some blue ones (mbuna maybe?) and I'm clueless. I am getting a 4ft tank, I have got about 12 female bettas going in, shrimp, ADF's, would like some other fish too but no idea what is compatible at all or what they need, can anyone shout me some info pls? Thanks

Well the Jack and mbuna are a big no no for that tank. You might be able to get a pair of rams for it.

I second the ram suggestion. You might also check in the New World section and see what they suggest.
