Colours usually darker but he got a bit freaked by the camera and went pale

Looks similar to my blue acara, like the orange line across the dorsal (same shape dorsal) but their markings are very different

Juvi Jack Dempsey possibly.. quite a few look similar at that age.

Its hard to say as the acaras look so much like when they are young. It looks like a Blue Acara at the moment.

Even though it looks nothing like my blue acara I have, I know what you mean though. I thought it was a juvi jack dempsey in the store, but the man showed me juvi's and they looked nothing like them. Hmmm.
