my jewel cichlids have had babies in my comunity tank i got them out and into a seperate tank including parents what i was needing to know is do the parents have to stay with the babies and how quick do the babies grow

You may want to PM a mod and ask them to move this to the New World Cichlids section, you will probably get alot more help there than in the betta section.

Congrats. Papa. I know nothing about jewels, but most cichlids are pretty good parents, I think--although some may have spouse problems. It would be best to get to the cichlid forum. Keep an eye on them. But how could you do otherwise.
