Cichlid Got Sick Overnight

Hello, Im new here so I Apologiz if this is in the wrong area........
 
This fish was fine before I went to bed at around 10 pm and looked like this by 8 am and was dead by 2 pm. I found this rapid decline unusual and was wondering if anyone has seen this before. As you may be able to see in the pic, his fins were frayed and he had red marks on his body. These IS a bully in the tank but they have always got along and have been together for 6 months

Red marks on the body often indicates septecaemia.

yikes..... looked that up thank you, I handled this fish with bare hands, I hope thats not an issue!
