Cichlid Compatibility

no but you have the plecs , i think you need to let you mrs choose the fish stock :p

jagz

lol, nah!!! lol

Right then i think ive chosen final stocking.... as follows lol

2 EBJD's
4 - 5 of either ellioti or aureus.
7 rainbows.
2 GBR's (on confirmation these will be ok with the above?)
2 keyhole cichlids (on confirmation these will be ok with the above and wont eat plants?)
6x L128's

How does this stocking sound, i can always leave the keyholes if there not compatible and replace with the original extra group of rainbows.

I would say the rams and keyholes will be in trouble as the EBJD's grow, whilst less aggressive than normal JD's (I believe, as I say, never kept them), they would be too rough for the little rams/keyholes. The rams and keyholes would be ok with the ellioti/aureus though. And yes the main difference between the ellioti and aureus is the colouration and slightly less aggressive than the ellioti, who I never found overly aggressive anyway.

Thanks for that hun, i don't mind leaving the keyholes. The rams i may give a go, all the fish will be added fairly young so..... hopefully it may work. If not i have a home for the rams if they do get in anyway bullied.

I thought it may be the case with the ellioti and aureus lol, see im learning already :p

Thanks again for all your help hun and to everybody else that's helped :)
