in my big tank, all the fish are sometimes at the top of the water, heads facing up, i ahd no idea why, if you go by the tank they all resume. i thought , maybe its about tiem for a water change, so i did a big ol water change, and they are still doing it, anybody know why they are doing this? and what this means?
thx, kubora666

what are your stats? what size tank and what fish?
it could mean alot of things like there living in nitrate/ammonia rich environmeant or an oxygen depleated one. :/
hope this helps

yeah it doesnt sound good
but on a brighter side could it be they are begging for food? mine line up like soldiers when they beg

i dont think that they would be looking for food if there fed regualry, fish can survive quite a while without food so would probably only "beg" when they see you with food,

i found out the problem :X
well, big plants had clogged my filters, and i had very high amonia and nitrate levels,
i am happy to tell you, i compeltely rinsed my filters last night,. removed the plants, and today did a half tank waterchange, now everything fine :D nice looking to, there is one thing that is very very very sad...

my faverite fishes, my blood parrots, pinky and the brain, brain died :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
he was my faverite ever fish and he was awesome:( he was a bright orange blood parrot with white patch on his head ( brain ). i miss him already and i blame the plants !!! im hoping to get another little friend for pinky soon :)
