I just got two giant green chromis four days ago. They ate on the first day I got them but have been acting very secretive for past few days. They haven't been eating at all. I have tried flakes, pellets, zooplankton, shredded silversides, scallop, raw shrimp, mysis shrimp, and baby brine shrimp. They won't seem to eat. I acclimated them for 1 1/2 hours so they shouldn't be in shock.

Also, my new mandarin doesn't seem to want to eat mysis shrimp or baby brine shrimp. I got him along with the chromis and acclimated him for 1 1/2 hours too. I guess I will need to order copepods, although I have seen it pick on the LR.

And one more question... Can blue linckia star fish be supplemented with nori? Mine seems to enjoy the nori but spit out the mysis shrimp.

The water parameters are:
ammonia:0 mg/L
nitrite:0 mg/L
nitrate:10 mg/L

I just set up my RO unit today, so I have been using dechlorinated tap water before. Now I am using RO water. Any ideas on why they haven't been eating?

Thats good that you got an RO system since you have a reef tank. Yes i would highly recommend you buy copepods for your mandarin. They are very hard to keep. It will take a while for your mandarin to start eating mysid and brine shrimp because they do not naturally eat them in the wild. I recommend that you get the copepods as soon as you can and start making a colony of them in a little aquarium although that can be quite difficult. Also call your supplier that the fish came from and ask him what they were eating there. And lastly both the chromis and mandarin may not be eating because of moving stress I would give them a week and a half to accustomize to their surrounding but after that i would start worrying.
