Christmas Presents!

For Christmas i got a brand new 2ft tank 2 dividers and some gravel . which means i was able to clear off my 2 small tanks and put them away for hospital or quarantine use in the future

Also it meant that i could now fit in another Betta, which was kindly provided by Modaz!

So without further ado, here are some pics of my boys in their new home!

Levi, my new boy. He was beaten up by his girlfriend during spawning, which is why his tail is so short and ragged. He's just a big softy!

wow ibble it looks great, fish are nice too, the copper looks like he's got some rosetail to him now he has grown a bit which is great, love the name for your new boy, its nice to see the bettas i sell in their new homes it makes all the hard work worth it and helps to re-enforce the reason why i chose to do this, thanks that has made my day.

well i thought that his colour was sort of denim-y, but also as he's a rosetail he's got great "genes"

thanks hoddy, yeah i heard you took a load of them on. Hehe, i think modaz gets a bit sick of the sight of me sometimes, always hanging round. although he's always polite and never tells me to go away he showed me the MG and the giants from you too. lovely fish! did you get to see his grow outs? some lovely fish colouring up really nicely.

ok so when you said this it got me wondering and i tried to take some close ups of his tail, but they all came out blurry, so this is an old photo,
have i done it right? does this mean he has rosetail in? cuz it def looks like more than 8 rays to me!

hehe so you know i'm not just drawing lines anywhere and everywhere!

well there is 15 in there at the tops, this does suggest a good rosetail possiblitly, he was quite a young fish when you had him, the batch i got in when he came in have turned out to be 90% rosetails and 3 femae rosetails too, the last of the female died a little while ago and sold the others, so im now using my final rosetail boy with what i think could well be a rosetail genotype girl as she has a very wide spread with some extra branching beyond the trim but not perfect all the way round, well she did do until i spawned her a couple of weeks ago but she is due to be spawned anyday now again with the copper rt, manged to spawn hoddy giants and well so that all good, the black orchid male managed to hatch his eggs then ate the lot and ive got a marble sd who is porving to be a massive success as a father producing fry at an alarming rate,
