my chinease algae eater jumped out of my tank when i wasnt around and i found him and put him back in he seems to be breathing but not moving at all.
he was probably out of the water for long as he was dry when i found him :X

what do i do to make him feel better?
i already put him in a hospital tank (same water stats)with a higher tempertature.

do i have to put it to sleep or will he survive? -_-

please help :(

Do you have any declorinator for the slime coat, might help his slime coat if it dryed out.

i already put some declorinator as well as fresh water(30% change)

anything else

Does the declorinator say it treats the slime coat, my question is why has it jumped out, do you have a lid, as fish jump out when water quality is bad.

i leave the lid off my tank for 30 mins a day to let the air circulate something must hav scared it and i must hav jumped.thanx for your concern but how do i make him better/

Not much you can do for him really, his slime coat dry out which is not good, stress coat might of helped as that has things in it to help with the slime coat, just keep an eye on him and hope he recovers, as sometimes they can die with being out of the tank for a while.

You might also try adding something like Melafix. That might help with the slime coat too. Not really sure.

Did the fish make it.
