Go Hawks!
Do you guys know that Chicago residents can check out a family pass at any branch of the Chicago Public Library?
Not many people take advantage of this, because it's almost kept a secret.
You can also do this for many other attractions.
I'll find out how it work's as far as using it for non-residents.
Were all "fish" family anyway.
I do know the best branches to get them are the small "local" ones. I've tried before at Harold Washington, with no luck.
You guys picked a good date also, there's really nothing going on that weekend by the Lakefront. The next Saturday(8/21) is the Air and Water show and a home Bear's Game. The air water show draws almost a million people to the lakefront and all the Aquarium parking will be full by 8:00AM with tail-gaters for the Bear's game.
Depending on when you finish at the Shedd, you might want to think about the Field Museum and the Adler Planetarium. They are both across the street.
