Cherry Shrimp

I have had a 30 litre tank with just cherry shrimp and a few guppy fry and today went to my lfs and purchased some plants and working hours all of my shrimp are dead or almost dead my first thought was copper but surely they would of mentioned this before selling them to me Can anyone help

yep defo anti snail treatment containing copper from the plants did you rinse the plants before adding them to your tank

Should of rinsed and left the plants in soak for a while

Ok thanks for quick response think I may of saved a few by moving them to my other tank. Yes plants were rinsed before adding but only under the tap for few seconds each.

I had the same thing happen to me before and the lfs said there was no treatment on the plants but over night, all shrimp were dead. Lesson learned I guess.
