i fancied getting a couple of cherry shrimp, i have a 120litre tank with 3 swordtails, 14 neon tetras and 2 yoyo loaches, am i silly in getting a couple of cherry shrimp in with this lot? if not will 2 be ok or more be better for them?

The yoyo's will most likely eat them. If you do get some you will want more then 2, they are fairly small and vanish pretty well.

the yoyos will decimate any invertibrates in the tank.

I do agree with the yoyo eating the shrimps but if you wanted to keep some shrimp you could set up a second tank for them, it doesn't need to be big, my shrimp tank is only 7 gal and they are happily breeding in there. They are active and great to watch which is why there are more photos of my shrimp on here than my fish!

i was just thinking of adding them to my main tank to eat a bit of algae here and there and add some character
