Cherry Barbs Or Something Else?

I'm off to get some new additions today as our water is finally settled... but having second thoughts. the original plan was for 8-10 diamond tetra and 6 or so cherry barbs... now we already have 5 black neons, 3 dwarf gourami, 3 lyretails and 6 parrot platy... im just wondering if that would look a bit naff with no sorta 'centrepiece fish'... any thoughts or suggestions? what about rainbow fish?

I would go with the cherries. That's just me. They're cute fish.

What do you mean by your water "has finally settled"?

I would keep it to one shoaling fish in a tank of that size and just up the numbers of Black Neon Tetra

I used to have a shoal of them until I was forced to put them in my large tank after a mishap with their own. Anyway they did not last long with my Pictus

Oh and I would have thought that the DG will be your centrepiece when they grow to full size?
