the fish was put to rest very quickly and humanely, and god i hated doing it.

would it be advisable to invest in a backup tank incase of any further illness?

Its always a good idea to have a back up tank on hand for disease out breaks and also to quarentine new fish. I don't know if you have walmarts in the UK or not, but i know in the us they sell 10 gal kits (filter, heater, tank, hood, and light) for $30.

Or, take advantage of this, get a bigger tank, then use your current tank for your hospital tank :D

that was precisely my idea!!

but i've only just got this one and it has a stand, but i'm hooked to these silly little things already!!!

we do have walmarts but they're rubbish and sell food compared to your american ones. i stayed in NJ for a fortnight last year and could i find anywhere that sold vegan food?! grrrr :p

Thats wierd, I've found health food stores all over the place.

When looking for a new tank, check out ebay, and i know www.craigslist.org has a UK section as well, and i've found some killer deals on there. Like a 125 gal that i don't have the room to get is only $250. Craigslist is like a big clasified ads web page

i got everything(fish including) i have off one person on ebay. thankfully the lady was relocating and couldn't take the tank with her! so i got everything for £150!!! if u see my "hello i'm a newbie" bit then u can see what i have.

but i will scour these things....one stupid question tttnjfttt, 90 litres is how many gallons?

awesome cheers tttnjfttt! i've amassed lots of links for my fishy favourites folder now

are those your fish on your profile? are they tiger barbs?
