Cherry barb fussy feeders.

I need some advice:

I have 3 cherry barbs and feeding them has been very hard.

One will only eat green peas (gets angry if anyone comes near the pea!!!
the Second will only eat flake food if I stir the water and it floots down to the bottom
of the tank.
And the third will only eat food if it floats behind the filter! ( I think this is a habit from living w/tiger barbs)


Any suggestions would be welcomed,

It takes me 1/2hr to feed them because I'm making
sure everyone has eaten.....I don't want them to be hungry.
Thanks why I took them out of the Tank w/my tiger barbs and gave them their own home--- they were starving and I wanted to get some food in them

You sure the guy behind the filter only eats flakes? You could get a vegie clip and hang lettuce back there. Peas are easy, you're doing fine there. You could also buy fast sinking flakes and shrimp pellets. Your fish would probably like these, but I'm not sure if barbs are carnivorous, herbivorous, or omnivorous. Most fish are omnivorous (the ones I have are omnivorous, anyways), but the barbs seem to have a liking for veggies...

Thanks for your advice:

I'll try your suggestions, now that I know they are not sick I'll add them back to my larger tank.

I'm a vegetarian so I have plenty of lettuce on hand!
