this is incredible! I wonder how long the procedure is and if the fish is laying in water or what.

wild :hyper:

I saw something online about a goldfish having surgery to remove a tumor. They apparently anesthetized it and just kept flushing water over its gills so it could breathe...

Holy crap, that's cool.

I'd do it for any of my bettas, but they're a LOT smaller than an oscar.. I already had to trim one of my betta's tails [with advice from betta forum, of course] because it was starting to get infected from chewing it off daily.. :/ I did the super-clean water treatment and everything for a week and it still didn't get better, so I dared to trim it. Scary. Very scary. But his tail's almost completely grown back now, and he's happily building bubblenests. :)

hmmm, a little expensive for my fish i feel, but if u have lots of money...why not!

I have heard of ppl doing post mortoms on their fish to see why they died.

I'm sure I'd do it for my oscar once he's adult... right now I don't feel I'm strongly bonded to him enough to pay that much, but once I've had him longer.... well, I pamper my pets, what can I say? :D

Well, I spent roughly $30 on meds for one of my lyretail swordies (she only cost $2.50 originally), but I doubt I'd spend that much money on one of them.
